Today, depression is one of the most common mental disorders in the lives of the elderly that can affect the quality of life and other physical and mental characteristics of the elderly. The aim of the present study was to predict depressive symptoms with regard to physical activity, disability due to pain, and body perception by mediating quality of life. This study was applied in terms of its purpose and descriptive in terms of its method, using structural equations. The statistical population included all elderly people over 65 years of age, from whom 300 people were selected as a statistical sample using the convenience sampling method of Isfahan in 1402. The data collection tools included a questionnaire on depressive symptoms Yasavic , physical activity Washburn , disability due to pain Melzak, body perception Kesh and quality of life Diego et al. Data analysis was performed using structural equation modeling using AMOS23 software. The results confirmed the optimal fit of the causal model of the study (p<0.05). The findings also showed that there is an indirect relationship between physical activity, pain-related disability, and body perception through quality of life on depressive symptoms in the elderly and a direct relationship on depressive symptoms in the elderly . the more active the elderly are, the better the body perception, the less pain-related disability, and the better quality of life they experience. Therefore, that elderly health planners provide programs to promote physical activity in these groups. , regular physical activity should be considered as healthy method to prevent the occurrence of problems related to the elderly, which will improve quality of life.
